these illustrations are examples of my drawing style. I love to use flowing lines, soft contrasting colors, and to include patterns. Textures are important to the feel of my work, so I try to include brushstrokes, paper texture, or pencil marks where I can. These pieces were all created digitally using Adobe Photoshop and/or Procreate
Some short animated gifs made using Procreate app on iPad Pro.
These are some examples of hand lettering that I’ve created on my iPad using the Procreate app.
A collection of cats squished into cups, glasses, mugs, and vases. Since cats are liquid (it’s a science fact) they fit into these vessels easily.
Sunshine is a book I wrote, edited and illustrated as my thesis for college. After graduation I self-published it using CreateSpace and it is now available for purchase on Amazon. The book was inspired by my mother who was diagnosed with cancer when I was 8 years old. I did not have any resources available to me at that age to help cope but I hoped by creating this story it would serve as inspiration for others that may have dealt with a similar situation. The story follows Charlie and her owl family including her Mama and Daddy and baby brother.
Tiny Tiger is a short story I wrote as a personal project. The challenge was to use simple language to communicate a story, and to illustrate a cover and two spreads from the story.
Tiny Tiger
Tiny tiger lives in the jungle
He plays with other tiny tigers
He likes to jump!
But he may fall
He likes to climb
All the way to the top!
Tiny tiger will smell for food
Then tiny tiger will eat!
At night tiny tiger sleeps with family
They all feel safe and loved
Morning means it is time to play again!
But first is bath time!
My sketchbook - the companion who travels with me everywhere and serves as a place for my thoughts and doodles. These are some of my favorite sketches.
